Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Immigration Research Assistant to support our Business Immigration Program. This role involves preparing and organizing key documents, managing large volumes of information, and overseeing related correspondence. A background in strategic business planning—ideally within a corporate or startup environment—is highly valued.
As an Immigration Research Assistant for our Startup Visa Program, you will help guide founders through their startup journey in Canada. Your responsibilities will include supporting ventures from ideation to early scaling stages by drafting business plans, creating pitch decks, supporting validation experiments, and connecting founders with Canadian investment partners.
Your primary objective is to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality documentation that enhances the success rate of participating founders.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Conduct research to support business planning
- Draft business plans and pitch decks for startups
- Collect, organize, and analyze data related to ventures
- Identify areas for operational efficiency and productivity improvements
- Lead orientation and strategic planning sessions for founders
- Maintain detailed and up-to-date progress reports
- Assist founders in preparing regular business updates
- Perform administrative tasks to support operational efficiency
- Coordinate document production and management
- Provide legal assistant-type support as required
- Contribute to the development of the Chung & Associates network
- Deliver accurate and timely reporting to senior leadership
Qualifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- A post-secondary degree
- Ability to work full-time from our downtown Vancouver office
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated and skilled in problem-solving
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Experience in business leadership, intrapreneurship, or entrepreneurship
- Interest in learning, implementing systems, and managing projects
